Catch Up!

Okay...so I've been pretty bad at updating the blog! I've been waiting on all of my students to return their internet permission forms, but I'm going to move forward anyway. Maybe that will encourage the last few to return those notes! 


We had a very busy year so far! The kids are moving at a very quick pace and taking in all kinds of new information! I can't even believe we've been in school for 8 weeks! Check out my JISD website. I'll be adding pictures from our Skype call, the Pep Rally field trip, and several other fun times that we have had. 


We've had the opportunity to Skype with a very cool author in Salt Lake City, Utah. His name is Frank L. Cole and he wrote a hilarious serious about "Hashbrown Winters". You should check out his blog. (Hint: if you "follow" him, you could win free autographed books! They would make great Christmas gifts for your kiddos!!)


We also started blogging. Some of the students have already written their very own blog post. Click HERE for Ms. Turner's homeroom class and HERE for Mrs. Parker's homeroom class. Mrs. Whiteside's class will be up and running very soon! 


I know this doesn't catch you up on EVERYTHING that has been happening in our classroom, but it's a start! I'm sure my lovely students will hold me accountable for updating the blog on a regular basis!

First day of school!

What a great first day!! We had a wonderful day and I loved meeting all of my students! They are all so sweet and I can't wait to see what all this year has in store for us! I can tell we have a lot of smart kiddos in this bunch! We had our first experience with rotating to new classes today and it couldn't have gone any smoother! 


I'll keep you updated with information and pictures on this blog, and from time to time I'll highlight some quality work from the students. 


I can't wait to see everyone again tomorrow!!
